How to Reach UAE
There are a few ways how to reach UAE from India. You can opt for a non-stop flight from major Indian cities or a connecting flight via other European countries. On the other hand, you can also take a train from any major European country like London, Amsterdam, etc. 
Traveling to UAE by Air

1. Geography

  • Location: The UAE is located in the southeastern corner of the Arabian Peninsula, bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south and west, Oman to the southeast, and the Persian Gulf to the north.
  • Emirates: The UAE is composed of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain.

2. Capital and Major Cities

  • Abu Dhabi: The capital city and the largest emirate by area. It is the political and cultural center of the UAE and home to important landmarks such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
  • Dubai: Known for its futuristic architecture, luxury shopping, and vibrant nightlife. Iconic landmarks include the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and the Palm Jumeirah, an artificial island.

3. Economy

  • Oil and Gas: The UAE has one of the largest oil reserves in the world, and the oil and gas sector has been a significant driver of its economy.
  • Diversification: In recent decades, the UAE has diversified its economy, investing heavily in tourism, real estate, finance, and technology. Dubai, in particular, has become a global hub for business and tourism.
  • Currency: The currency used in the UAE is the UAE Dirham (AED).

4. Culture and Society

  • Religion: Islam is the official religion, and the country follows Islamic traditions and laws. The majority of the population is Muslim, with both Sunni and Shia communities.
  • Language: Arabic is the official language, but English is widely spoken, especially in business and tourism.

  • Shopping: The UAE is known for its shopping malls, such as The Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates, which offer a blend of luxury brands, entertainment, and dining options.

6. History and Government

  • Formation: The UAE was formed in 1971 when the seven emirates united after gaining independence from Britain.
  • Government: The UAE is a federal absolute monarchy. Each emirate is governed by its own ruler, and the President of the UAE is traditionally the ruler of Abu Dhabi, while the Prime Minister is the ruler of Dubai.

7. Festivals and Traditions

  • Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha: Major Islamic holidays celebrated across the UAE with prayers, feasts, and charitable activities.
  • National Day: Celebrated on December 2nd, it marks the formation of the UAE and is a day of national pride with parades, fireworks, and cultural events.

8. Infrastructure and Development

  • Transportation: The UAE has a well-developed infrastructure, including modern airports, ports, and road networks. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have extensive public transportation systems, including metro lines.
  • Sustainability: The UAE has invested in sustainable development, with initiatives like Masdar City in Abu Dhabi, designed to be a zero-carbon, zero-waste city.
